What was the highlight of Landmar Costa los Gigantes

Noisy family hotel with excellent cuisine. For singles/couples book Landmar La Arena next door.

Very good quality and variety of food (half board), in particular tasty oats option at breakfast and excellent pastry at dinner. Availability is granted until end of servings, therefore no rush to get in early. Gym is first class and free of charge but with no supervision though. Spa and wellness is special and spacious with sea water (!) pools, saunas etc. and important, an oasis of calm and retreat (it's a children's heaven Hotel, remember). For 2 hours stay EUR 19 is charged but may be included if you book/pay certain massages/treatments. Quality of staff is overall very good: friendly, calm at all times (not an easy task, specially during meal servings). Big, spacy room with nice view to island of La Gomera.

Booked and requested again at check-in a "Non-smoking" room. However, on balcony there was an astray available! First 2 days all was fine then some smoker(s) moved in on lower floor and therefore had to closed windows or retreat from balcony. Since I was mostly out during the day, problem touched me only on early morning or evening. A great pity, because air and climate in Santiago was superb. Otherwise, great big room, with 2 balconies, 2 TV sets, bathroom (tube) and spacious wardrobe, frigde and free drinking water available at water fountain on each floor. In-roon safe charged extra. Kids and adults used football pitch until very late in the dark and each time ball hit separation fences at back on on both sides, it made a nasty, metalic noise.

Excellent food at buffet,great location.pity the TV not working.

I 4 days the room was never cleaned n changed. I hanged the sign off the door but the wind might have take it away. In any case I had to call the reception to have new clean towel. Then the TV was out of signal from Friday night to Sunday night.informed the reception several times, technician came Sunday evening, could watch the TV for half an hour then off again. I had to check out the following morning,I informed the reception.

We liked a lot of activities, which are good planned. We liked animation team, especially Pedro, Yoni, Krystina, Alex and.others. They were very friendly, positive and helping. We liked very much all the waiters, they did a great job, being helpful, respectful and nice!

Very Good

Fabulous views from the hotel room and the pools. Everything in the hotel during our visit ran extremely smoothly. The animation team were super engaged and helpful. There was an impressive selection of food for breakfast/lunch/dinner which both we and our children enjoyed. The pools and facilities for kids were ideally designed and clean.

Return visit and was a great choice again. Staff all great Rooms well maintained Pool actually heated this year and what a difference Great activity choice

Shane there is no shallow end in the main pools for the smaller ones Evening shows are pretty average and start far too late (9:30) for the majority of the audience

Despite the many drawbacks, I'd return..

Location and views are great, beautiful sun set over La Gomera. Property is huge, pools are great. The Spa was good value for money (€19 for 2 hours). Xmas dinner was nice with many options.

Food and beverages part of the "All Inclusive" offering were average to low quality. If you wanted to grab a bite during the day, it was mostly soggy french fries, dry pizza and hot dogs. Lunch/dinner got quite repetitive after a few days. Overall I'd say the All Inclusive is not worth it. It was often so hard to get drinks like Wine, you'd be served a few milliliters in a paper cup. You have to pay €10 deposit to get pool towels, and you can only get clean ones every 3 days, with a special card. It was overly complicated for such a banal thing. Games/arcade all required extra pay, not included despite being a guest. Some of the activities (like Bow and Arrow for example) were unavailable as the "instructor" only goes on Sundays... Room cleaning service came fairly early (8h30-09h), if you missed it, they didn't come for the rest of the day unless you called reception (another thing to manage...). I've found one cockroach, 2 spiders and multiple mosquitos in my room, which was quite unpleasant.

Wonderful

Very good in general. The food was good. Only the snack available for all-inclusive guests between normal eating times was modest (but available).

The service was nice, but the reception made me run for the pool towel for no reason (1. Ask towel around the pool. 2. Return to the reception to get a free towel card. 3. Return to the pool and exchange the card to a towel). Why not give a card when I did check in?

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Food selection was excellent, entertainment and facilities for kids were excellent.

Getting additional drinks at lunch and dinner was not easy. All self-serve coffee and juice machines were switched off after breakfast. Initial drinks were provided quickly but to get any more you had to chase down staff who were too busy really. No self serve soft drinks at lunch and dinner was a pain given all inclusive was paid for.

It was a great place, the architecture, plants, outdoor swimming pools & fab play / activities

Breakfast / lunch and dinner was excellent with plenty of choices. Great selection of cheese, cooked food and grill options. Also lots of pastries, cakes, salads and fresh fruits. I liked the serving of drinks at the table during lunch and dinner. Great activities during the day for both kids and adults and we really enjoyed the evening shows - every evening we had a different little show.

What was missing from the menu: there were no olives at breakfast / lunch or dinner and it was a bit disappointing as it's our favorite. Unfortunately we saw big/small cockroaches in the room; we did ask for insecticide which was provided and after four days of use it was OK.

What was the highlight of Landmar Costa los Gigantes

I have a feeling we might be back!

We were in Tenerife for a family getaway for 4 nights and literally did not leave this amazing resort. We had no reason to! Everything was there - fun, entertaining, relaxing, convenient, amazing. Landi, the mascot, made it really fun for the kids - day and night, and the animation staff brought so much positive energy and ensured we all had something fun to do every day. The app was great to keep track of events happening across the resort. There is a great wellness area, gym and massages available on site. A quieter pool too for those who are tired of inflatable toys in the pool and all the hustle and bustle of the main pool area. Beautiful views from the outdoor bar/garden area for evening relaxation. A few shops on site too. The buffet offered so much variety and a lot of new things every day. Also some options with chefs cooking fresh food options on request.

The rooms are a little tired and small.... They're clean, but in need of some care. Our door handle fell of at one point! But overall really quite good, and you spend your days out and about poolside anyway! The kids beds were set up in the living room so we didn't have any sort of couch space or adult evening space.
